Attitude of Gratitude

Special thanks to Bill McKenna for sharing this gem (author unknown). Be sure to visit Bill's photography site. There's a particularly cool image there that looks like a snip of a rollercoaster track...and yet, it appears to be something else. See if you can find it...

How to Invoke An Attitude of Gratitude

Consider this...

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep...
• You are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish some place ...
• You are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness ...
• You are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation...
• You are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death ...
• You are more blessed than three billion people in the world.

If your parents are still alive and still married ...
• You are very rare, even in the United States.

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful ...
• You are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder ...
• You are blessed because you can offer healing touch.

If you can read
• You are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all

QoD: What are YOU most grateful for today? Take a moment to bask in your gratitude.

I appreciate you! and I appreciate Bill for sending it along. Got something fabulous to share? Send it to me and if I use it in this blog, I'll link back to your site. Go for it!

Is Cleanliness Next to Godliness?

This past weekend, I had the distinct pleasure of spending a few days in Austin at Dr. Joe Vitale's Zero Limits Retreat.

Whew. My mind is still reeling.

Have you heard about this ho'oponopono thing that's sweeping the planet? It's funny -- this practice has been around for generations in Hawaii, and suddenly the "right" person finds out about it and now it's making its way across the Internet, reaching people who never knew it existed.

In a nutshell, ho'oponopono is this:

Total and complete personal responsibility, for everything. I'm talking about the good, the bad, the ugly, and things you've never even seen or heard about.

How does one take responsibility? Simple. You "clean" by practicing LOVE. Simply and succinctly put, people who practice ho'oponopono (who, by the way, can't necessarily pronounce it) are repeatedly thinking "I love you. I'm sorry. Thank you."

Yep, that's it.

The idea is that by "cleaning" or focusing only on love, you are connecting with the Divine (or Source, or God, or whatever terminology you prefer for the Higher Self).

Sound wacko?

Maybe. But I say don't knock it until you try it.

All I know is, business was going OK and then I spent the whole weekend practicing ho'oponopono wiht a Hawaiian shaman, and with a bunch of other people who were doing the same thing. Since I left that weekend, my business has about tripled.

All I'm doing is practicing love.

I had an interesting expeirence today -- I sent out an email to my friends and subscribers. I practiced loving while I wrote the email, and while I sent it out. Next thing I knew, I started to get a few unsubscribe notices.

This doesn't rattle me like it used to -- I figure people either "get" me, or they don't. And if they don't "get" me, they don't need to be beaten over the head with emails from me.

But something interesting happened.

I'm in and out of my shopping cart today, because of some emails and broadcast messages I'm sending to the participants in my new comprehensive Wealth Mindset course that starts tomorrow. Tonight, when I was in the shopping cart, I noticed that the number of subscribers on my list was much higher than the last time I looked.

In other words, for every person who decided to opt-out today, I got 3 or 4 new people who signed up.

Interesting how that happened, eh?

But I'm not practicing love, or practicing ho'oponopono to try to change anything. I'm only loving for the sake of love. And then whatever happens, happens.

It's like that "detachment" thing everyone is always talking about. Fascinating.

And even though I'm not trying to have it pay off, it's most certainly paying off. In spades.

Would I attend another Joe Vitale event? In a heartbeat. The man is pure heart and anyone who tells you otherwise has clearly never met him in person. You just can't fake that kind of authenticity.

Later this week, I'll post some pix and share "the truth about Bill Hibbler" -- another internet marketer I had the chance to "hang" with this weekend.

BTW, if you're wondering if I'll be practicing ho'oponopono during my Road Trip to Riches course, you'd better believe it. This is some powerful stuff!

QoD: What part of your life could stand a bit more love? Are you ready to infuse love into that part of your life? If not, what is holding you back?

Airplane Withdrawals?

I think I'm in travel withdrawal. I'm a person who has grown accustomed to traveling every 30-60 days (not because I have to, but because I choose to) and I just couldn't wing it (haha, pun intended) those last months of my pregnancy. Now I've got a 7-week old who's ready to fly the friendly skies.

We didn't take our oldest daughter (now 3) up in a plane until she was 3 months old. But then again, back then we weren't the jet setters we are now, lol.

This week, we're headed to Austin for another manifestation event with Dr. Joe Vitale and Dr. Len. Hubby and I are both attending, and we're letting our toddler spend the weekend with her grandparents in Houston, while we take the baby to the seminar in Austin. Can't wait!

In case you haven't already heard -- I'll be speaking at Pat O'Bryan's upcoming Un-Seminar 3 in Austin next month. So this is sort of a trial-run as far as flying as a foursome family goes. (Try saying that 3 times fast.)

Then we're headed back to Cancun in March. We may not travel in April, since this summer we'll be spending 2 months in Australia (yeah!)

So what is going through your mind while you read this? Are you excited? Jealous? Curious? Bored?

Because whatever you're feeling right now could provide some insight, if yuo're willing to look. Take a look at what emotions are surfacing, and then ask yourself why.

Perhaps you're jealous because you think you can't have the same lifestyle. Maybe you're excited ebcause you know you can. Maybe you're curious how a person can afford to travel so frequently, when a corporate expense account isn't picking up the check (and calling the shots).

The fact of the matter is, you are designing your life right now -- right this moment (we all are). I'm designing mine to create travel as a family. What are you creating your life to be?

Is it the life you want? Or are you settling for something less?

You really can have it all. Really.

QoD: Are you living the life you've always dreamed of? If not, what on earth are you waiting for? You're not blessed with unlimited time, you know (well, unless you count multiple lifetimes. But you're already amidst this one, so why not make it spectacular?)

Another Inspired Idea - Gold Mine or Wast of Time?

I read something very interesting today.

It's about a guy who is clearly following an inspired idea. He's taking action, but it hasn't been completed yet, so it's a bit too soon to tell whether it will be a gold mine or a waste of time.

My experience tells me it's a surefire gold mine, as long as he continues to follow his inspiration while making the idea manifest in reality. Go here (see #4 in the article) to see what Michael Altenberg is up to (and I'll bet you wish you'd thought of it first...)

And just think -- this is a person who doesn't believe in the Law of Attraction. Imagine what he could create if he harnessed its power?

QoD: Are you following divine inspiration? Or do you have a millions reasons to talk yourself out of taking action?

Just do it!

P.S. How do I know he doesn't practice LoA? Because this guy just happens to be my husband's cousin. Doens't make his idea any less impressive, as far as I'm concerned.

A Comment About Your Comments

OK, I feel like a dork.

I was just messing around with my Blogger account (seeing what's new in the new version) and I found out I had more than 50 unapproved comments. Whoops!

So if you posted a comment any time in the past YEAR, I just finally approved it and responded. Sorry it's so late!

Several comments were nothing more than spam , and those have been deleted. Oh, and I deleted 1 comment that had offensive language in it. I am happy to approve comments that disagree with me, but I only ask that you keep your comments clean, dammit!

We've had some company visiting (new baby's godparents) but they return home in the morning, so I;ll be back in teh saddle soon.
